Update #4

It was my first day back to work after vacation today. I was actually relieved to finally be back to work. My vacation was nice, but it was one of those I need a vacation from my vacation moments. We accomplished a lot and got to see a lot of family which was really nice. Spent some time at Mystic Lake casino with Cory and my mom and then went to the Grand Casino in Mille Lacs with Cory, my Mom, Mark and Lucy. It was Cory's birthday and he definitely had a lot of luck...too bad I put in whatever he won. =D It was fun to go gamble, but I have had enough casino time for probably the next year. Hehe. On Thursday we met Theresa Pikula (Cory's aunt) in Little Falls and did our engagement photos. Again, thank you so much Theresa! The pictures turned out great and we have tons to choose from! I can about imagine how many we'll end up with for our wedding photos. Also, Charlie Arnold (Cory's uncle) has offered to videotape our wedding which will be nice in case people who cannot make it to the ceremony want to see it. That will be really nice! Then Friday was my birthday and I was able to sleep in! (until 9am) but it was still sleeping in! Cory and I went to Denny's for my free grand slam in the morning and met some family and friends at Paradiso for dinner. I got the steak fajitas! YUM! Cory and I went out for a night on the town which was really fun! I rarely have the time to just go out and enjoy myself so it was nice to have that opportunity. While we were out we met up with my brother John! He is back in town from California for the summer! What a great birthday present!! Then saturday and sunday we did a little traveling, went to see my grandpa Mike in the hospital. He looks good though! Then it was back to work for me. Now that vacation is over with I haveta start applying around for a part-time job...wedding is gettin spendy...hehe. Anyways, I better head off to bed another day of work ahead of me. Bye!

Update #3

Hello everyone! Lots has happened in the last few months it's tough to remember where I left off. Wedding planning has been kinda pokey, there isn't too much more that we can do. I got the dress!! It only took one trip to David's Bridal and I found it! Some people have seen it but I'm really trying to keep it to myself. Next week Cory's aunt, Theresa Pikula, will be doing our engagement photos. We are picking out outfits. Going to do a casual jeans/t-shirt outfit, a dressy classy look, and then our fun Vikings jersey pics! After that I will order the save the dates. =D Anyways, not much else wedding related has happened. Just waiting and saving. We are trying to come up with ideas of how to earn more money. Might end up getting part time jobs or donating plasma. lol. We'll see =D.

I CAN'T WAIT

I am super crazy amazingly excited for a couple of reasons. First off, on Saturday I have an appointment with a baker to discuss making my cake. Second, a few friends/family members have recently found out they are pregnant!! Third, my cousin Rose is ENGAGED to her fiance Ben!! This week has been full of exciting news! I have lost about 5 lbs this week thanks to my new gym membership, and I've also added a little color to my skin! lol. With the weight loss tho I think I'm going to have to get my ring sized down...it's good news, but also kinda sad..I <3 my ring! Today I woke up 15 minutes before I had to clock in at work...man that was stressful...but the day ended up turning out ok. After work I ate at Extreme Pita with my coworker LaRae and bought some delicious Chobani yogurts! YUMM! Now, I've put together my shopping list and gone coupon hunting. Tomorrow is PAYDAY!! Whatever doesn't go towards bills will go to the wedding fund. We are well on our way for savings, right on track! I'm hoping we can save some money by making our own centerpieces, corsages, bouquets, and such...I really want to be able to afford a honeymoon getaway! Disney World would be AMAZING!!! Anyways, besides working out and stressing over my ring coming close to sliding off, things are going great! =D

Lots to update!

Wowza! Where to begin? We have been engaged for 2 months and 1 day and have already planned a LOT! First things first, we are getting married on June 16, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND at 5pm. The reception will be immediately following the ceremony at the Avalon. Our bridal party consists of 3 girls and 3 guys on each side and then 4 ushers, 2 guest book/gift ladies, 2 cake cutters, and our immediate family members helping with the receiving line.  We plan on getting all of the formal pictures done before the ceremony so people don't have to wait around much for us to eat. We have decided to have Cory's aunt Theresa Pikula do our wedding photos, which will save money and keep more family involved. Jessica's aunt Ann has offered to help make our corsages, boutonnieres and boquets using these great rainbow roses in our wedding colors! They are one of the many things Jessica has decided to splurge on. We have an appointment in 2 weeks with the bakers at Quality Bakery to discuss making our cake. I'm not gonna give away the surprise there =D. We still have to explore our options as far as DJ's or bands go..hmmm. We have most of our gifts to our wedding party members chosen and Cory's dad offered to throw the grooms/rehearsal dinner. Jess is working on losing about 30 lbs before going dress shopping...we'll see if she can stay away from the licorice =D. Let's hope this goes off without a hitch. lol
